IFAPme Château Massart
History and Excellence of Training
Founded in 1981, Centre IFAPME’s fashion design department was a pioneer in Wallonia, initiating fashion design courses five years before the prestigious Saint-Luc Bruxelles and La Cambre establishments, the latter having been founded by designers who had graduated from Centre IFAPME.
The Château Massart Mode program offers multidisciplinary training:
led by a team of professionals active in their field: stylists, couturiers, model makers, designers/graphic artists, creative psychologists, art historians and marketing specialists. All Centre IFAPME instructors are recognized, working professionals.
Opening up to the professional and industrial world is a priority, with in-company internships and participation in national and international competitions, giving invaluable visibility to students’ creations.
The section has won numerous competitions and organized several events over its 40-year history. Today, particular attention is paid to short circuits and sustainable development, fully integrating the transition of the textile sector.

Final year STYLIST-FASHION DESIGNER course
The students created a complete collection on the following theme:
Outwear reinvented under the influence of pre-2000 cultural trends. A singular quest where past and avant-garde intertwine, resulting in creations that are both timeless and rooted in modernity.
Anna Jacquemain

Her collection explores the tensions between simplicity and exuberance, blending the practical spirit of the skater, the rebellious attitude of the perfecto and the theatrical flamboyance of Visual Kei.
She offers genderqueer, dark, modular silhouettes, where each piece adapts and expresses itself. A hybrid wardrobe, between functionality, assertive identity and visual poetry.

Kristin Paquot

Kristin Paquot first explored words before clothes. With a master’s degree in Germanic languages and literature from the University of Liège, she taught for five years before feeling a deep need to reconnect with her creativity.
She then began studying fashion design at Château Massart, developing an approach to clothing as a space for narrative and revolt.
Her graduation collection:
What do you do with a REVOLUTION?
Her collection questions gender norms and subcultures through silhouettes in tension, frozen in the riots, and cross-references to grunge and tomboys.
A revolution in distorted suits, torn babydolls and protective bombers.
Between grunges and garçonnes, her collection hijacks codes, blurs genres and freezes riots.
Here, clothing is a silent provocation, a textile cry, a memory in tension.

Solenne Weber

Her collection fuses the provocative allure of retro pin-ups, the fast, sharp attitude of sporty biker jackets, and the acidic exuberance of ultra-feminine Japanese youth.
Between sensuality and rebellion, she mixes vivid prints, flashy accessories, loaded hairstyles and assertive silhouettes.
A free, colorful style that twists codes to assert a joyful, dangerous and confident femininity.

La Maison du Tourisme
🟥 Quai de la Goffe 13, Liège
What is now the Maison du Tourisme was once known as La halle aux viandes. It is one of the city’s oldest civil buildings. Erected in 1546, it was built for the butchers’ guild, known in Liège as “les mangons”. Their coat of arms can be seen above each entrance. The interior, with its 16th-century framework and columns, is well worth a visit. Renovated in the 1990s, it is now occupied by the Maison du tourisme du pays de Liège.
