This adventure is made up of encounters, with the public, with other creators – confirmed professionals, emerging talents, students at the end of their studies & other players in the field to exchange, share & create synergies.

It’s about supporting those who resist – the boutiques that still stand up for local design, slow fashion and responsible fashion at a time when everything is sold at the click of a button.

To date, Fashion In Motion is the only event of its kind in Wallonia. We’re fighting to promote fashion, designers and the arts, and to foster a culture that fosters economic development and social cohesion. To take part is to join this battle.

The route takes in heritage sites that few events have the privilege of occupying – La cité miroir, the Palais des Princes Evêque, the Musée de la Vie wallonne, the Archéoforum, …. This is a rare opportunity for designers: to present their universe in a setting that tells a story, far from standardized spaces. Each location becomes a showcase, each window a story. Urban scenography, animations, collective creations, asphalt as catwalk. Over thirty designers, three days to transform the city center into a fashion parade.

Promoting fashion through local know-how, slow fashion, upcycling and sustainable fashion, so that consumption becomes a matter of course once again. Participating in FIM means joining this battle.

Fashion In Motion is part of the Parcours des Artisans de la Province de Liège – 2,000 visitors expected over the weekend, coming specifically to meet craftsmen and designers. An already committed public, who take the time to discover, exchange and sometimes buy. Designers are showcased in brand-new venues, recognized boutiques, galleries that count, authoritative showrooms, a network firmly rooted in the economic and cultural life of the city center.

Professional artistic direction by Giovanni Biasiolo. Sophisticated set design for the fashion show and a dedicated photo area. Creative and logistical support from the team and volunteers for setting up the windows and staffing the catwalk. Opportunities for collaboration with shops, venues and other designers. Photographers for the fashion show, of course, but also an individual slot with a photographer for each participant, so that you can leave with a few professional photos of your creations, as well as a dedicated personal presentation on the event website, a presentation interview on the networks, a pop-up store at Galeries Saint-Lambert and 1 evening to meet, another to show off and then celebrate in style.
We look forward to discovering you & exhibiting in the heart of the Cité Ardente. Liège bears this name today, reflecting the spirit of the city, in reference to the legendary turbulence of its inhabitants and their warm, festive temperament. It’s in this spirit that we welcome you to join us in creating Fashion In Motion – Urban Fashion & Textile Trail.
